Hello! I am Farai, welcome to my site. I am a graphic designer based in Kenya and Zimbabwe. I am experienced in visual identity, branding, packaging and layout design across a wide range of applications from annual reports to magazines. I am passionate about illustration and pattern. In 2010, I graduated with distinction in Communication Design at Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa. My final thesis was on design for positive change in Africa. On returning to Zimbabwe, I worked as a graphic designer at Danes Design in Harare, on a wide range of briefs for a large portfolio of clients.

In 2014, I went freelance, offering design services in branding, packaging and layout. I also started to build an illustration portfolio based on my love and respect for the environment. I spent long periods in the African bush, studying the natural world and its intricate eco-systems. This inspired me to focus on a collection of printed fabric and paper products, featuring repeat patterns and illustrations taken from my observations in the bush. In 2018, I opened a gift shop in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where I showcase my work and ceramics and jewellery by my creative family.
